    There is so much more to the city that never sleeps. New York Tri State Area abounds with amazing parks, beautiful mountains, and gorgeous lakes, but a lot of these areas are often hard to get to and are overlooked by locals who don’t have a way of getting there

    Bike Tours New York is a company driven by love of outdoors and especially mountain biking. We are here to provide an opportunity to leave the city and enjoy some of the best hidden mountain bike areas around the tri state area. Our trips range from difficult to easy and there is something for everyone.

    Each weekend we will have a different location for you to explore. Bike Tours New York will provide comfortable transportation to and from each location.  Our vans are specifically designed to carry bicycles for the trips.  If you don’t have a bicycle but would like to rent one from us, you can do so from our fleet of brand new, professionally maintained mountain bikes.  These are not tour guided trips but rather an ability to get out of the city and enjoy nature at your own pace and have the ability to enjoy a day without a hassle of sticking to a schedule.  We will however require that every single person abide by the meeting times designated at the beginning of each trip.  On each trip you have the possibility of creating your own experience.  We will do our best to provide you with the needed information for each location.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for any further questions or concerns.

Mountain Biking in New York/New Jersey

What better way to spend a day than getting out there and enjoying a nice day outdoors. Mountain Biking allows you to exercise while enjoy a day outdoors looking at beautiful scenery. For me personally Mountain Biking is sort of a psychological thing where I can forget about all the issues at work and home and go clear my mind. For each day of mountain biking I get 3 days of good mood:-). Come join me for a day and see what I am talking about.

With warm weather finally here.  It would be a perfect time to enjoy some outdoor time.  Come join us for one of the fun filled mountain bike adventures.

We are offering private tours and group tours and can create tours based on skill level.

New Paltz Mountain Bike Ride

Join us for a day in Minnewaska State Park to ride along some of the most magnificent scenery in New York State.  Walk away with a sense of accomplishment and a huge grin on your face

Hartshorne Mountain Bike Ride/Sandy Hook

This is a ride to test your skill and step it up a notch.  Its a fun filled day of climbs and obstacles.  This is a trail that is both good for someone who would like to sink their teeth into real mountain biking.  It is one of our favorite spots to mountain bike:-)

Ringwood Mountain Bike Ride

Ahh Rignwood a hidden Gem of ours where you can both try the advanced trails and the easy trails which surround a beautiful landscape with a lake in the middle and botanical gardens.  This is an amazing place to ride and guaranteed for an amazing way to spend your day. 

Staten Island Bike Ride

This is the only non mountain bike ride we offer and that is due to the fact that we are from Staten Island and would like to offer a glimpse on the smallest borough of New York.  After Hurricane Sandy we realized that our home needs some exposure as its a beautiful place to live and visit.  We strongly recommend people coming to New York to join us for a ride.  I promise you Staten Island is a great place to visit.  Besides taking the free ferry from Manhattan and seeing the statue of liberty you will ride around an island with beautiful views and maybe get a swim in the Atlantic ocean weather permitting:-)

Bike Tours New York Starting Rides April 6th

Spring is finally upon us and Bike Tours New York is happy to announce that we will begin our weekend mountain bike rides starting April 6th.  We have modified our offerings to include a non mountain bicycle ride in Staten Island, New York.  Since Bike Tours New York’s home base is located on Staten Island we decided that it is important to promote our borough especially after Hurricane Sandy.  Staten Island needs to be rediscovered and tourism can be expanded on the island.  We as a company are taking the first steps in promoting our home.

Another one of our rides that got affected by Hurricane Sandy is the Hartshorne Ride.  The beach area at Sandy Hook was devastated and remains closed due to beach erosion and thus until further notice the trip will only include the actual mountain bike ride in the Hartshorne Woods.
